Time for a change?! Katy Perry showed up almost unrecognizable at her PURR Fragrance event in Toronto, Canada today with her newly dyed strawberry blonde hair!! Apparently Katy is a natural blonde (had no idea!!) Â and this ginger color is only temporary before she can get her hair to the desired color she wants. Is she going to be blonde again?! (DailyMail)–Even though she looked flawless as she greeted fans at her perfume launch last night Katy Perry was well aware that she didn’t appear quite right.
Because the singer was sporting a new accidental hair color.
The 26-year-old songstress debuted a striking strawberry blonde hue to her hair, which for a long time has been dyed jet black, as she introduced her fragrance Purr at Sears in Toronto, Canada.
‘On my way to launch PURR in TORONTO! FINALLY CA has PURR avail to them!’ she wrote on her Twitter page earlier in the day.
‘P.s. If u see a ginger haired girl that looks like me, it’s me! #yay.’
Katy, who is a natural blonde, has spent years maintaining her hair as a dark brunette, even dying her eyebrows and eyelashes to match.
But in order to take her hair back to blonde the I Kissed A Girl singer had to complete the process in two stages.
So just over a week ago she had her hair dyed this dark red-blonde color.
‘So I didn’t get to the exact color (sic) I wanted from being black for so long!’ she explained to her fans on Twitter.
‘2get to goal I have 2b GINGER for 3WKS,’ before explaining: ‘If I don’t wait 3wks, I’ll end up w/no hair or a #pixie90scutw/abarretteinthefront It’s okay, I’ll get to my secret color(s) soon! #patience’
Katy is currently in the middle of her California Dreams tour which sees her performing tonight in Toronto before heading to Montreal and Ottawa next week.
Meanwhile, back at home in Los Angeles, it was revealed that Katy and her husband Russell Brand have bought a $6.5 million Hollywood Hills mansion.
