I’m pretty surprised by this. Lupe and Lil B are two TOTALLY different rappers but through a series of tweets and a post on his blog, Lupe showed some major support for the Bay Area emcee who recently dropped his controversial project, “I’m Gay.” Find out what Lupe said after the jump.
“Bumpin my Lil Brudda’s new joint @LILBTHEBASEDGOD “I’m Gay” “3rd world countries ain’t got sidewalks” #FreedomFromMentalSlavery,” Lupe first wrote. “I’ll stamp it now. “I’m Gay” is one of the best rap albums I heard in a looooong time. Some MFDoom x Ghostface x Kanye flava to it…”
“You’re serious?” questioned a fan. “Actually I am…shits dope…go figure…so props given @LILBTHEBASEDGOD,” Lupe replied, sealing the stamp.
“Why he call his album that? And How the fuck he feel?, Bitch I do what I want!!! and the tracks is ill” Lil B hahaha and they are too!. I actually think callin his album “I’m Gay” is GENIUS & Revolutionary, the cover is Genius, some brave shit…AND he spittin REAL shit. Controversial, independent, fearless with a massive movement built off a crazy work ethic…sounds like #Winning to me. Why hate on that??? You new jacks should really be trying to learn from the Lil homey…I’m impressed with the hustle so salute to @LILBTHEBASEDGOD”
Some pretty kind words!! He also wrote QUITE a long article on his blog. Check that out here. BASED!!
