If ever there were a moment worthy of breaking into song, surely this is it.

Glee’s resident scene-stealer and all-around awesome funnylady Jane Lynch has been named the host of this year’s 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Just one question: Do they make formalwear tracksuits?

“I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on Fox,” Lynch said of the announcement. “I’m looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit.”

We’re thinking Jimmy Fallon’s star-studded “Born to Run” opening number from last year won’t have anything on Lynch (though incidentally, she did feature heavily in that performance).

In any case, as always, the Emmy honchos are lining up to compliment their choice of host.

“Jane was my first—and only—choice as host for this year’s Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said ‘yes,’ ” the telecast’s executive producer Mark Burnett said. “She has incredible comedic timing and is a charismatic, talented actress whose energy leaps off the screen and stage. I am thrilled and excited to have her as our host.”
