During his epic Coachella performance last month, Kanye West allegedly issued a subliminal jab to his ex-girlfiend Amber Rose in his “Stronger” lyrics. You know…that part where he says, “I’ll do anything for a blonde dyke… & she’ll do anything for the limelight.” Well it didn’t sit too well with Ms. Rose & now she has something to say back in her recent KING Magazine interview. Amber Rose compared her past relationship with West to her current relationship with rapper Wiz Khalifa:
“When I was with my ex [West], I didn’t have a voice. I was there and I was new to the fame. I didn’t understand everything. Now I get everything. With me and Wiz, we show our love to the world. We don’t try to hide it; we’re not quiet about it. We’re just in love and we’re just happy and we want people to follow in our footsteps and not be afraid to be in a committed relationship…It’s just unfortunate that he said that in the [Coachella performance] song ’cause that’s not the lyrics — I can say whatever I want about him. I can write a book or do whatever but I choose to take the high road. It’s just unfortunate he has to constantly say sh*t.” (KING)
Rose also took the opportunity to tell critics to stop with negative comparisons to her ex-boyfriend, Kanye West:
“There’s no comparison in personalities. You know when people say how do you go from Kanye to Wiz Khalifa, that’s a downgrade. But the only question I can ask them is: Have you ever dated Kanye? Because I have, and believe me, I did not downgrade at all. Not in any aspect, at all.” (KING)
