It hasn’t looked good for RIM since February, since then the smartphone giant has lost 38 percent of the smartphone market to its competitors Apple and Android.   It looks like RIM may see the same outcome of handheld company PALM, which once was the leader in the handheld devices in the early to mid 2000’s until RIM and its Blackberry took control of the market.  Since the release of the Apple Iphone Rim has seen a slight decline in its market share, but nothing as big February’s dip in the market.  Since its peak in 2008 at $148 a share, RIM has seen its share fall all the way down to $43.74 on Friday.  With its recent release of the Playbook which did not see any rave reviews and did poorly in the market, and with no innovative products on the way the only question for RIM at this time is where will they go at this point?
