Condolences to the friends and family of basketball star Robert “Tractor” Traylor, who was found dead in his apartment earlier today. Traylor was a McDonald’s All-American the same year as Kevin Garnett, Vince Carter and Paul Pierce. In the 1998 NBA Draft, he was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks (with the 6th pick), but traded to the Milwaukee Bucks and eventually went on to play for the Nets and the Cavaliers as well. The official statement from his team came out in Spanish and although my last name is Mendez, that’s about as Spanish as I get sooo I don’t really know what it says:
“El centro de los Vaqueros de Bayamon, Robert “Tractor” Traylor, fue encontrado muerto en su apartamento en Isla Verde. El partido de esta noche entre Mayaguez y los Vaqueros fue suspendido…..”
I DO understand it says he was found dead in his apartment in Isla Verde though, so once again, condolences to the friends and family. Story developing.
