1. Deal with the fact that he or she does not feel the same way about you. Acknowledge the possibility of them not loving your cute and loveable self. It doesn’t mean that you’re unlovable, it just means that they’re not into you like that. Never fear! Remember that there’s someone for everyone.
2. Recognize that there will never be a plausible explanation as to why they don’t love you. You two are two different people. You fell, and they didn’t. Big deal! Don’t get hung up on understanding why things ended up this way just work on getting past the confusion and hurt. Better days are ahead!
3. Remain your happy and jovial self. Don’t wallow in self-pity or allow yourself to become bitter over someone who never loved you. You’ll have a hard enough time getting over the ones you really loved! But really, maintaining a positive spirit is key!
4. Get your mind off the situation! Spend time with friends and family and people that love you. This will boost your mood and will remind you that people DO love you.
5. Keep BUSY! Delve into those projects at school or work and get your mind off of the whole ordeal! Focus on your hobbies and your future. This will help you refocus your energy on the things that you can control. Don’t stress the things that you can’t control or else you’ll go crazy!
6. Go out on dates! You never know. Someone might totally sweep you off your feet and sweep thoughts of that old loser under the rug. You’ve got to get yourself back into the wing of dating and enjoying other people’s company. This will also help you realize tat there are other great people out here to date.
