It’s not always easy to tell when you’ve fallen for someone.  But never fear, there a few ways of telling for sure if you’re on the way..

In NO specific order:

MUTUAL ATTRACTION:

This is a give in.  If there is a natural physical attraction there is a 100% chance that you two will become more than just friends. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way…we can continue!

-PHONE BONING:

If you’re past the age of 17 and hold down a steady job, you’re past the breathing on the phone stage and you value your spare time.  Spending your time wisely is important to you.  Spending on the phone with your friend, you might just be falling for him or her.  Also consider this.  Do you find yourself wishing you were with this person when you’re with your girlfriend or boyfriend?  HMMM, my diagnosis is that YOU’VE FALLEN!

-BOYFRIEND or GIRLFRIEND IS ENVIOUS OF YOUR FRIENDSHIP:

If your boo is jealous of you and your homie’s friendship it’s probably because he or she can see the sparks for themselves.  Sometimes a lover’s natural competitive spirit might contribute to this.  But the former is more common than the latter.  You can tell when people are HOT for each other.

-HER OPINION IS GOLDEN:

If your lady friend’s opinion falls 2nd that of the Pope or some other infallible religious figure, then you guessed it: YOUR FALLING FOR HER!  That comparison was an exaggeration but you get the point. If you run to your friend for advice on your career, your family and your lover, then you might be falling for them.  Think about it…people are out here looking for soul mates not just a bed warmer.  Your friend might be the one!

-YOU HAVE TO CATCH YOURSELF:

Do you find yourself wanting to wipe that tiny cute cookie crumb from their mouth.  Or catch yourself before you say something that might be considered crossing the friendship line.  THEN YOU’RE FALLING!  The fact that you even have to catch yourself means that these words and actions are flowing naturally.  It’s time to debate whether or not to relocate your love.
