Every year around this time, students at Rutgers University in New Jersey put their party hats on for the annual “Rutgersfest,” one huge party with a series of concerts thrown by students. Unfortunately, this year things got out of control and Saturday night four people were wounded from separate shooting incidents. Read more after the jump…
According to NBC News:
“The violence broke out around 1 a.m. following Rutgersfest at the Piscataway, N.J., campus where some 40,000 people were in attendance.
Eleven people were arrested on charges ranging from disorderly conduct to assault, according to police sources.
At some point, altercations broke out and shots were fired. Four people were shot and wounded in the unrelated melees, police said. The gunshot victims were not students but their identity is still unknown.”
