Middleweight champion Anderson Silva will defend his title against Yushin Okami at UFC Rio this summer.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the bout to USA Today.
The UFC will return to Brazil on Aug. 27 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. It will be the UFC’s first trip to the country since Ultimate Brazil in 1998.
UFC Hall of Famer Royce Gracie is also reportedly in negotiations to fight, but nothing has been made official.
Silva and Okami have met once before in a 2006 bout. Silva was disqualified for cracking Okami with an illegal upkick that nearly knocked him unconscious.
Silva has won 14 consecutive matches, most recently knocking out challenger Vitor Belfort in February with a highlight-reel front kick that landed flush on Belfort’s jaw and sent him to the canvas.
