Just when you’ve gotten used to Eliot Spitzer as a media pundit, you hear something like this: that former New York governor Eliot Spitzer is toying with the idea of running for mayor of New York in 2013.

@funkmasterflex

Business Insider claimed that “Eliot Spitzer is essentially biding his time as a TV host until people get comfortable enough with him to put him back into office” while New York Post writer Charles Gasparin wrote that “Spitzer is clearly fantasizing about a run, I’m told by several prominent city Democrats.”

Before the sex scandal that brought him down, Spitzer was a rising political asset, and wildly popular among city liberals for being a tough-minded ‘Sheriff of Wall Street’. So what would New Yorkers think of another go at politics? (You may answer below, of course).

But don’t get your hopes up just yet, Spitzeristas — the host of ‘In The Arena’ said on CNN that he has no plans to run anytime soon (a claim which Fareed Zakaria doesn’t quite buy).
