50 Tyson may be everyone’s favorite person to poke fun at, but the fact remains he has a developmental disorder that is nothing to joke about. In an effort to raise money and awareness for autism, 50 will participate and perform in the 11th annual Steps of Hope fundraising walk, in partnership with the Autism Society of Minnesota, March 6th.

(HHW) – 50 Tyson, rose to fame after a series of his freestyles went viral gaining over 5 million views on YouTube.

He has since signed a record deal and performs frequently at public venues.

The 17-year-old has also been involved in raising money and awareness for his developmental disorder.

50 Tyson, born Antonio Henderson-Davis, is just one of over 12,000 people in his home state of Minnesota who have the condition, while rates across the country have soared to 1 in 110.

The Autism Society of Minnesota hosts an annual conference and workshops throughout the year, to keep families and professionals knowledgeable about autism research and treatment.

Over 1,500 people are expected to attend the 11th annual Steps of Hope fundraising walk, which takes place at the Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

“I am excited to be able to do my part to raise money for autism research,” says 50 Tyson “As an autistic rapper, it’s important that I demonstrate to other autistic individuals that you too can live out your dreams and not let autism slow you down.”

Registration for the walk begins at 9:00AM, while the walk itself will start at 11:00 AM.
