The Grammy’s helped switch up the Top 10 of Billboard this week, although some of the artists that have had a steady stay there have kept their reign. Surprisingly (to me) the “Now” series debuted at number 1 with their 37th album! Wow! I remember when it just started! And I say “surprisingly” because who’d have thought a compilation CD would sell so well (151k!) when all of these singles are top sellers on iTunes, meaning you’d think people would have most of those songs already.
Mumford & Sons’ “Sigh No More” came in at number 2 with 49,000. It’s a new chart high for them and considering the album came out exactly a year ago today, that’s pretty big! Thank the Grammy’s for that one since they performed!
Thanks to his film “Never Say Never” hitting theaters, as well as multiple Grammy nominations and a performance on the show — Justin Bieber returns to the Top 10. “My World 2.0” jumps 17-3 with 48k. Nicki stays high on the chart at number 4 with 47k. P!nk’s “Greatest Hits . . . So Far!!!” takes spot 5 with 41k. Bruno Mars’ “Doo Wops & Hooligans” takes number 6. Eminem’s “Recovery” is at 7 with 38k. His Grammy duet partner Rihanna comes in at 8 with 37,000 copies sold of “Loud”. Jason Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” takes 9 with 35k and the Grammy’s compilation album which includes a lot of the nominees from the show squeezed in just outside of the top 10 at number 11 with 33k. Hit the jump to see how Kanye, T.I., Diddy Dirty Money and more are doing.
