Fantasia had quite a tumultuous 2010, but winning her first Grammy this past weekend should have been a great evening for her. Instead…she skipped out on the whole event! And why?? Because they didn’t have her as part of the Aretha Franklin tribute. Now granted…I think Fantasia would have been an AMAZING addition to that set, but I don’t think it’s worth missing your big moment!! You only receive your first Grammy once!! “I’m going to be very honest with you. You know I wasn’t at the Grammys last night. I’m kind of going through my own little thing. … Last night they were honoring someone who is my idol, Aretha Franklin, and there is no way I could have sat there and not got the happy feet and wanting to jump on the mic because she is my favorite so I felt like, you know, at the end of the day I should have been on that stage so, I kind of did my own little thing last night.”
She missed out on receiving one of the highest honors in being a musician because she wouldn’t be able to stop herself from pulling a kanye, during an Aretha tribute? Sounds soo stupid, I think she could’ve used the publicity. Smh, whatver fantasia.
