The first week in February saw some shifting in the Billboard Top 200 albums. As previously reported, Nicki Minaj pushed her way to number 1 after 11 weeks on the charts (likely due to her SNL appearance), moving 45k units…putting her now officially selling over 1 million units (1.04 exactly). Rock band Red debuts in the runner-up slot this week with its “Until We Have Faces” set at 43k. Ricky Martin debuts as well with the mostly Spanish studio set “Musica + Alma + Sexo” landing at number 3 with 32,000.
Bruno Mars’ “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” continues its stay in the Top 10, coming in at number 4 with 32k, while Rihanna’s “Loud” jumps from slot 13 last week to 5 with 29k. “Kidz Bop 19” is at number 6 with 28k, Jason Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” comes in 7 with 27k, and Swift’s “Speak Now” clocks in at 8, selling just short of 27k. Rounding out the Top 10 are P!nk’s “Greatest Hits . . . So Far!!!,”with 25k and Eminem’s “Recovery,” just shy of 25k.
