Remember back in December when police turned up 4 unidentified bodies in Long Island while on a search for a missing woman (of which none of those 4 were)? Well, now the bodies have been identified and it turns out all the victims had posted ads on the internet for escort services before their deaths, according to police.
(NBC) – Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said in a press conference Monday that all four women were killed by the same person. They were apparently killed in different locations and then their bodies dumped near a parkway leading to Jones Beach on Long Island.
Last week, authorities identified a fourth women as Megan Waterman, a missing Craigslist escort from Maine.
The other three women were all in their 20s and had all placed ads as escorts, officials said. The other three victim were identified as Melissa Barthelemy of the Bronx, Maureen Brainard Barnes of Norwich, Connecticut, and Amber Lynn Costello from North Babylon.
