Taylor Swift is sitting pretty in the top spot once again…but she also broke a not-so-good record while doing so. At 52,000 copies sold, it becomes the lowest-ever sales frame for a No. 1 album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking data in 1991. Yikes! But hey, at least you’re still in the top spot. With records barely selling these days, 52k is nothing to sneeze at! The Harajuku Barbie rolls in at number 2 this week, pushing another 39,000. Bruno Mars’ “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” comes in at 3 with 38,000. Daft Punk’s “TRON: Legacy” and Eminem’s “Recovery” round out the top 5, with 34,000 and 33,000 units sold, respectively. In order, 6 through 10 are Rihanna with Loud at 33k, Yeezy with “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” also at 33k, Mumford & Sons’ “Sigh No More” with 31k, Jason Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” at 29,000 and the “Country Strong” soundtrack with 28k. Hit the jump to see where T.I., Diddy, Banks and more clocked in.
