1. Porsche 918 RSR Concept
Porsche unveiled the 918 RSR at the Detroit Auto Show today, a 767 horsepower hybrid race car. Porsche’s concept hybrid gets an extra boost from braking, which triggers the motors to act as generators when the front wheels brake, according to PC Magazine.
2. Ford C-Max
Workers hoist a vertical display of the C-Max, Ford’s first plug-in hybrid minivan, which will have a range of over 500 miles, according to Consumer Reports.
3. 2012 BMW 650i
BMW unveiled the 650i, their high-end, 400 horsepower sports car which will cost consumers $91,375, according to Automobile Magazine.
4. Mercedez Benz SLS AMG E-Class
Dieter Zetsch reveals the SLS AMG E-Class, one of Mercedes’ new line of low-emission, high-performance vehicles.
5. Mercedes Benz A-Class E-Cell
The Mercedes Benz A-Class E-Cell was sold in limited production in Europe in the latter months of 2010, but the high-end electric vehicle also made an appearance in Detroit.
6. Mercedes Benz B-Class F-Cell
The B-Class F-Cell is MB’s hydrogen fuel cell hatchback, which should get about a 240 mile cruising range on a full tank of hydrogen, according to the Detroit Free Press. The F-Cell should be on the road in Europe and California by 2012.
7. Ford Vertreck Concept
Likely replacing the Escape in the US, the Vertreck concept car is a cross between the Escape and the Kuga, a small SUV Ford sells in Europe.

9. 2011 Volkswagen Passat

Apparently, the new Chattanooga, Tenn. factory will directly and indirectly create 12,000 new in the U.S. economy, a number Volkswagen employees touted on-stage, according to the AP.
10. 2012 Buick Verano
The Buick Verano hopes to be Buick’s sportier attempt at reaching a younger audience, with a sleeker, more stylish design, according to the LA Times.
11. Hyundai HCD-12 Curb
While few details have been released, Hyundai plans to unveil it’s HCD-12 Curb concept hybrid SUV at the Detroit Auto Show.
