The campaign is raising awareness about Haiti by tweeting and uploading a :35 second video to www.uploadhope.org, in the days leading up to the January 12th, 2010 earthquake that left over 300,000 people dead and millions permanently displaced. Fans are also asked to download a new single titled “Better” by Melky Jean and the Jean Family on January 12th.

“The Upload Hope: Download “Better” campaign is an opportunity for the world to show Haiti we have not forgotten the horrific earthquake they’ve endured and we’re still working to improve the quality of their lives,” Ted Lucas, CEO of Slip N Slide Records told AllHipHop.com in a statement released today (January 7th). “We are grateful for the many celebrities who are getting involved and promoting our message of hope and perseverance thru these difficult times,” Lucas added.
