Massive Wave of WHDI Products Announced at CES
WHDI Will Showcase Wireless HDTV, Tablet, PC-to-TV, 3D, and Mobile-to-TV Products
CES, Las Vegas, NV – January 4, 2011 – WHDI LLC, the organization responsible for managing the WHDIâ„¢ (Wireless Home Digital Interfaceâ„¢) standard today announced that, together with leading WHDI technology supplier AMIMON, they will demonstrate numerous new WHDI products, technology innovations and future product designs at the International CES show, which runs January 6-9, 2011 in Las Vegas. At CES, a number of major CE manufacturers have announced WHDI products across key product categories: PC-to-TV, Wireless HDTV, tablet, mobile and more. The breadth of these products highlights WHDI’s ability to provide a HD wireless solution for all PC and CE devices, applications and consumer uses cases. Consumers just need to look for the WHDI logo to ensure that all of their devices will be able to work together.
Wireless HDTV, Display & Projectors
Haier, Hisense, TCL are among a number of CE manufacturers that will be demonstrating WHDI enabled wireless HDTV products at CES. Also, Vivitek will display an HD projector with WHDI embedded. WHDI easily enables the increasing number of HD sources to connect to an HDTV – without sacrificing quality or the applications and content that you can bring to the TV. WHDI provides a robust wireless connection that can deliver 1080p HD and 3D video, in the same room, or around the house. PC-to-TV

WHDI maximizes the value of content on mobile and tablet devices by enabling not just the delivery of stored video to the TV but also game play, internet surfing and interactive applications on the TV. Additionally, WHDI is the only technology that meets the small footprint and low-power consumption requirements for integration into portable devices.
WHDI Overview
The WHDI standard delivers wireless 1080p 60Hz video (in a 40MHz channel in the 5GHz unlicensed band) providing consumers with the most robust and highest quality HD wireless connection. WHDI includes support for all 3D formats required by the HDMIâ„¢ 1.4a specification. WHDI has a range of 100 feet (30 meters) through obstacles and walls enabling consumers the freedom and hassle free way to connect sources anywhere with-in a room or enable multi-room connections. Additionally, the WHDI technology implements HDCP revision 2.0 enabling wireless viewing on the TV of all PC content including Blu-Ray movies and DRM protected content.
