Meech, who is currently locked down in a federal prison in Jessup, Georgia, gained massive exposure this Summer, when Miami rapper Rick Ross named checked him on the hook to one of the year’s biggest songs (“Blowing Money Fast B.M.F.”) and the new book, B.M.F. by Mara Shalhoup. Big Meech detailed the new venture in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, this is what he said:

I’ve teamed with Myxer.com. They came up with the idea to do the ringtone thing, so I done put a couple out there and they like them. It’s always been a dream of mine and I’ve always had a love for all kinds of music growing up. Just trying to do something positive. I’ve always wanted to do something in the music business.

Big Meech has served a total of six years of a 30-year prison sentence for his role in a massive cocaine distribution ring, which operated from the late 1980’s until 2007. Feds accuse Meech and his brother Terry “Southwest T.” Flenory of heading the B.M.F. organization, which operated in 11 states and earned well over $300 million dollars in cash and acquired other assets, including luxury cars, mansions, yachts, nightclubs and real estate.
