The consultant and veteran programmer is is the new PD of Service Broadcasting’s KKDA “K104” Dallas, taking over the role that Skip Cheatham left last month. Cook has a long history in programming, including stints at WKYS Washington, D.C.; WAMO Pittsburgh; WWWZ (Z93) and WWBZ “Hot 98.9” in Charleston, S.C.; and KJMS “101 Jams” in Memphis.
He was most recently the president of his own company, Geometric Media Consulting, and a consultant for PSP Consulting, a company specializing in programming and interactive media. Cook tells Urban First, “I am honored and excited to join K104 as its new PD/Brand Manager. I want to thank the senior management team, Michael Erickson, Steve Watkins and owner Hyman Childs for entrusting me with this unique opportunity.
