Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett has said no to the Lingerie Football League.
The league is made up of teams featuring women playing tackle football while wearing halter style tops and tight shorts under their football gear. The league had said it hoped to have a franchise in Oklahoma City before the next season that starts in August.
Cornett said Thursday “there are too many problems to list” and he will not let the LFL play in any city-owned venue.
League chairman Mitchell Mortaza said Cornett is taking away the freedom of individuals to choose what sporting events to attend.
