Earlier this year, the Saw franchise was anointed by Guinness as being the “Most Successful Horror Series in History.” Its worldwide haul is over $730,000,000 with almost half of that coming from international markets. You can make a lot of fiendishly clever death traps with that kind of money.
In this country, however, the “Saw” isn’t number one. Heck, it isn’t even number two. This will undoubtedly change this weekend when the latest, and reportedly last, “Saw” movie hits the screen, unless, of course, the movie earns less than $10 million.
