Proceeds Benefit Cancer Research
Leading American radio personality, Angie Martinez, announced today the launch of her new online charity, Angie’s Guest Closet (AGC). The virtual celebrity closet’s debut auction will kick-off on Friday, October 15th with items from the personal closets of some of the world’s most famous artists and celebrities including Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige and Kim Kardashian among many others.

“With the launch of Angie’s Guest Closet, I’m hoping to combine our guilty pleasure of shopping and all things celebrity with charity,” said Martinez. “On the radio, I’m known as the Voice of New York and with AGC I hope to be a voice for research and those affected by breast cancer. This is a tribute to my mother, Shirley Maldonado, a breast cancer survivor, and all those confronting the cancer battle. It is a cause very close to our hearts and I thank all of the artists and celebrities that have donated so generously.”

Angie’s Guest Closet will host frequent auctions with exciting new inventory from some of today’s hottest names from across the music, film and TV worlds. Designer accessories such as handbags, sunglasses, jackets, jewelry, sneakers and shoes are among the exclusive auction items available for purchase by fashion aficionados, fans and those just wanting to give back. All proceeds of purchases made on Angie’s Guest Closet will go to select breast cancer organizations and collaborative cancer research.

“As a proud breast cancer survivor I wanted to give back to the community that helped me beat this disease and inspire other women to believe that they too can be survivors,” said Maldonado. “Sharing this experience with my daughter, Angie, has brought us closer than ever and together we are committed to doing something to make a difference and finding a cure.”
