Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre did not deny Thursday that he left voice mail messages propositioning a sexy TV sports personality shortly after he joined the Jets in 2008, theNew York Post reported.
“I’m not getting into that. I’ve got my hands full with the Jets,” Favre said Thursday in response to a question posed by a Post reporter specifically about the voice mails.
The voice mails, released Thursday by the sports blogDeadspin, sound like Favre propositioning busty Jenn Sterger, a former Jets sideline reporter and Maxim model who now hosts “The Daily Line” on cable channel Versus.
Deadspin also posted purported MySpace messages from Favre to 26-year-old Sterger, and alleged that a Jets public relations employee facilitated contact from Favre to Sterger.
The voicemails and other messages were posted Thursday in a two-minute video on Deadspin, which alleges that Favre, a married father of three — and a grandfather — tried to seduce Sterger. Toward the end of the video, Deadspin also shows three photos that it intimates might be images of Favre’s penis.
In a voice mail to Sterger a man says, “Send me a text, I’d love to see you tonight.”
In another, what sounds like the same man says, “Jenn, just got done with practice, got meetings here for a couple more hours, then I’m going back to the hotel to just chill, so send me a text.”
Sterger’s manager, Phil Reese, had no comment and denied that Steger supplied Deadspin with the alleged messages from Favre.
Favre, who turns 41 on Sunday, is getting set to return to New York to face the Jets on Monday night. His next touchdown pass will be the 500th of his career, extending his all-time record.
